Airport Training Facility and Tower
The Newport Volunteer Fire Department has undertaken an effort to design and construct a multi-faceted training center at the Newport Municipal Airport, south of Newport, Oregon.

This facility is intended to serve the training needs of emergency and technical rescue personnel from Lincoln County .  In addition, non-emergency personnel from companies that have annual training requirements in confined space entry, pole top rescue, and aircraft evacuation, will be able to use the facility to meet those needs.

The planned centerpiece of the facility will be a four-story  building with a "burnable" room and smoke generation facilities for the rest of the building.

Additional renderings of the facility are available here.
