Burn Schools or "Burn to Learn 's" |

Occasionally, we get to fight fires in controlled conditions. These are done when a structure comes available to the department that meets safety and environmental criteria, and the weather conditions are right. This is one of the few opportunities that a new firefighter gets to experience the heat and the smoke of a structure fire. We call these, Burns to Learn.
